Rubber:  thermoset;    thermoplastic rubber;    speciality elastomers

Plastic:    thermoplastic;   thermoset;   composite;     TPR

Metal Application To:   rubber;    plastic

Our product line includes plastic and rubber parts. We work with Thermoplastic resin formulations including most engineering plastics. Thermoset plastics are available in sheet and parts, plain and composites. Many of the plastics that we work with can be metallized for EMI/RFI shielding or a Cosmetic appearance.  We can apply a metal jacket to rubber extrusions.  These materials can be engineered in combination with reinforcements such as fiberglass or carbon fiber and can be integrated into structures with core layers. Our Rubber formulations include both dense and foamed, compounded to your requirements, ranging from natural rubber to Viton and FluorosiliconePolyurethane can fill your specialty elastomeric applications or low volume, enclosure applications. Combining and compounding materials for optimum performance is often the key to efficiently engineered products.

Two examples:
1) We have compounded highly conductive rubber to produce emi/rfi radiation shields.
2) We select glass specially oriented fibers and cores to achieve a combination of strength, stiffness and lightness.

We often supply materials across a wide range of processes such as;  die-cut, molded, extruded, metallized, and cast.

In addition, we have bonding and sealing capabilities to other substrates like metal and ceramics.

LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS

A sales agency, unlike a manufacturer of products, deals in the building of relationships and the distribution of information. Our agency prospers when the relationships with principals and customers are sound and the information, the capabilities of each principal, are applied to the needs of the customer. jobst incorporated commits its energy to find and work with committed principals. The relationships must be long term (half of our principals have been with us for 22 years) and rest on highly ethical and professional business practices. Honesty, mutual dependability and reliability in service, product quality and delivery are the key components to our successful sales effort. We are members of MANA (Manufacturers’ Agents National Association) and abide by their Code of Ethics and SPE (Society of Plastic Engineers). Our customer is the real key to a successful agency. Each of our customers has specific needs. We provide the attention and service our customer needs through diligent service.

IDEAS

Good designs often come from the collaboration between the customer’s engineer and our sales team.  The engineer is familiar with the performance requirements and we are familiar with efficient application of the best materials and processes. Our experience and expertise with a wide range of non-metallic capabilities and resources makes us, a multi-line supplier, a valuable partner on your design team. Our experience in other markets often allows us to propose solutions already successfully proven.

DESIGN CONSULTATION

The first step in the design for manufacture of any part is to establish the part specifications.  This includes defining various constraints:

1.Functional Constraints
2.Assembly Constraints
3.Performance Constraints

Let us help you develop your design, process and project needs.
